I started my real estate career in 2001 with Keller Williams in Dallas, Texas, dealing primarily with residential real estate north of Dallas in the areas surrounding Preston Wood and Preston Trail Country Clubs. In 2003, after we moved back to Miami,  I began working with Beachfront Realty in Miami, Florida, specializing in private residences north of downtown Miami and condos on Miami Beach. We launched Havmoeller by Allen Tate Realtors as a real estate advisory firm for The Palisades Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas in 2011.

Havmoeller by Allen Tate has grown leaps and bounds ever since we launched the business in 2011. In 2021, our total sales/production was enough to be ranked in the top 1.5% of The United States. We have recently added a couple of realtors to support me, and we officially launched Team Havmoeller by Allen Tate in 2022. By the end of 2025, we expect to surpass $400,000,000, in total production since 2011

We continue to specialize in listing existing homes, assisting buyers of new construction homes, and buying homes for our clients in The Palisades, Lake Wylie Waterfront, Regency at Palisades, Chapel Cove, The Sanctuary, Montreux, and North Reach. Still, we do also often get hired to help buyers of new construction homes or existing listings in many other parts of greater Charlotte and as far north as Huntersville as well as many neighborhoods in South Carolina. Most of our buyers come from multiple states, including California, Texas, Arizona, New York, New England, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington DC.

Being successful in real estate is all about “living and breathing” the neighborhoods you serve. If you are passionate about where you live, it is easier to help families relocate and integrate well into their new surroundings.

Our children, Harrison, who is 21 years of age and a senior at UNCC, where he will major in computer science, and Emma, who is 23, had a great time growing up at The Palisades doing a variety of sports where they built numerous friendships that will last a lifetime. We are still actively involved in golf, sailing, swimming, and hiking. Our three dogs, Tess, Grace, and Maple, enjoy themselves. When Tess was younger, she thought she was herding packs of deer on her morning walks until the whitetails turned around and chased Tess back toward us. Harrison also recently completed his three-year apprenticeship as a software engineer at SSI Schaefer in Steele Creek. Emma majored in Engineering Technology and Sustainable Architecture at Appalachian State University in 2022.

My husband, Jan, an avid golfer and sailboat racer, tells me several times weekly how much he appreciates our lifestyle and his friends at the country club and Catawba Yacht Club, something I would never hear from him while we lived in Miami.  He says, “With happiness comes good health and work productivity.” he has been correct so far.  His company – Kompani Group, with partners and associates in Florida, North Carolina, Washington State, and Romania – has grown yearly since we moved to Charlotte in September of 2010.

Jan’s business Kompani Group, which specializes in business optimization applied through strategic consulting, branding, marketing, technology, and training, is responsible for ongoing marketing and advertising for Havmoeller by Allen Tate and the properties we promote for our clients.
